Gordon Dressage Group is the largest dressage orientated British Riding Club in the North East of Scotland. We have been established for over 30 years and are dedicated to developing opportunities for horse and rider combinations to enjoy their sport of Dressage & progress from Grassroots level to Grand Prix. Competitions and Training are held at Cabin Equestrian Centre, Ladyleys Equestrian Centre and Fountain Equestrian Centre.
2018 has seen the membership boost to over 150 members, many actively riding and competing at our competitions, training and attending area events, this is a great achievement for the Group.
Gordon Dressage Group hosts a number of competitions each year at which we run both British Dressage affiliated and unaffiliated classes from Quest Club to Grand Prix level, alongside our popular freestyle music classes at all levels. As a Club we are committed to providing a BD List 1 judge at every one of our affiliated competitions (excluding purely Quest Club Competitions).
We run a robust, fair and achievable local dressage points league for our members which see many fabulous prizes, trophies, rugs and sashes being offered as prizes to our members from intro to Grand Prix level.
In addition to our competitions, we support our GDG members by organising weekly training events with both local and visiting trainers, often subsidised by the Group, or on occasion by local training grants when available.
We will keep you updated with news of forthcoming events via this website, Facebook and the regular Newsletter. Please do contact us if you have any questions, all committee details are available on the contact us page.
GDG members are eligible to represent the Group at the British Riding Club competitions and participate in all the British Riding Club initiatives including the Volunteers League.
